She also experiments a lot with her character and likes to do films of the choice of the audience.In an interview, Taapsee shared her experience regarding Miss India contest and told that when she was participating in this competition, Taapsee said, ‘This is in 2018, when I was a student. I convinced my parents to do this pageant on the condition that I keep getting good grades in school. I had absolutely no idea what was going on behind the beauty pageant.’ Taapsee said – ‘Don’t ask the truth, I can’t lie and I might not be able to tell the truth, but I will tell you what I can.She was surprised when she was selected for the Miss India contest. She was sure that when she reached the top 10, she would be thrown out of the competition. Only 28 girls were selected from all over the country and only two to three girls were selected from Delhi, one of whom was Taapsee. Taapsee further said, ‘I remember all the others were professional models. I only did photoshoots. I never did television ads, I didn’t walk the ramp, because all those shows used to happen at night, and my father wouldn’t let me go.‘Not only this, Taapsee while refreshing her sour memories told that she was insulted in front of everyone during the Miss India trials. During their grooming period they were taught to walk and taught to smile. At that time Hemant Trivedi used to be his guide. Taapsee told that Hemant used to insult her a lot and used to say, ‘If this competition were in my hands, you would never have reached the top 28.’
